Graduated in Marine Biology, I had been developing aquaculture experience for 25 years, especially on reproduction and breeding of marine fishes, working in different farms along Mediterranean coast. At University of Genoa, I had been professor in “aquaculture basis” for 10 years. Since 2005 I’m the Director of Portofino Marine Protected Area.

Valentina Cappanera

Graduated in Environmental Science (marine curriculum), since 10 years my experience in Portofino Marine Protected Area has been focused on coastal zone management and evaluation on human impact, with particular reference to small scale fishery and diving activity. Expertise in European project management acquired with LIFE+ project ARION on conservation on bottlenose dolphin and WildSeaeurope project cofounded by EASME.

Bruna Vallettini

Degree in Biology. She is the project coordinator of various European projects. Her experience at the Aquarium, since 1993, includes aquariology and project manager for temporary exhibitions, educational projects and international events. She has vast experience in communication projects which have been carried out with international partnerships.

Claudia Gili

Degree in Veterinary. Scientific Director of Veterinary Services of Costa Edutainment, cooperates with many international organizations and has held positions of responsibility as general manager and veterinarian curator. Degree in veterinary medicine, awarded the honor of “Cavaliere della Repubblica”, she has a PhD in Animal Health and Hygiene at the University of Pdova and has acquired specific skills in the field of bioethics and animal welfare.

Graduated in Biology (Applied ecology on malacofauna associated with Cauleropa taxifolia Bio-ecological curriculum), PhD in Environmental Sciences at the EULA Center in Concepción (Chile). Regularly admitted to the Biologist and member of SIMB since 1997. He alternates his profession in the field of environmental monitoring at sea, the environmental impact assessment and fisheries management in Liguria, with professional collaborations with the Inter University Marine Sciences Consortium (CoNISMa), the DiSTAV (University of Genoa), the Consortium Management of Marine Protected Area (MPA) in Portofino, MPA Tavolara-Capo Coda Cavallo and MPA Porto Cesareo. Since 2009 he is Director of the MPA Bergeggi Island, where he can put his interdisciplinary experience to good use in the management of the environment.

M. Sc. degree in Physics at the University of Genoa in 1999 and Master degree in communication and science journalism at Univesrity of Ferrara in 2009. Since 1999 she has been working, as a researcher and research team leader, firstly within the academic sector and lately for Softeco Sismat. She has 16 years experience in both national and European R&D projects and several national initiatives.

Mariachiara Chiantore

Graduated in Biology, PhD in Environmental Sciences (Sea Science), since 2000 Researcher at the University of Genoa, (DiSTAV), from 2014, Associate Professor at DiSTAV. Since the start of my career, I’ve been studying distribution, structure, biodiversity and functioning of coastal benthic communities, trophic and reproductive ecology of molluscs and echinoderms, sea urchin grazing, aquaculture and integrated multi trophic aquaculture, echinoculture, ecology of benthic toxic microalgae. Coordinator or participant of several European projects, among which, relevant for the Relife project, ENRICH (FP7-BSG-SME-2007-1: GA # 222492), IDREEM (FP7-ENV.2012.6.3-1: GA # 287844) and RESURCH (FP7- SME-2013-1: GA # 606042) referred to aquaculture and BIOCONNECTENCE (FP7-Marie Curie International Incoming Fellowship: GA # 221065) to biodiversity and connectivity among superficial benthic communities.

Graduated in Biology (Bio-ecological curriculum), PhD in Environmental-Marine Science, since 10 years my research at DiSTAV, University of Genoa, has been focused on the structure, dynamics and functioning of benthic ecosystems, with particular reference to seaweeds and marine invertebrates, in the framework of the management of marine coastal zones and the assessment of ecological quality.

Maria Paola Ferranti

Graduated in Environmental-Marine Sciences, curriculum Marine Biological Resources, since 6 years research fellow at the DiSTAV, University of Genoa, where my research is focused on the structure, dynamics and functioning of marine benthic ecosystems and aquaculture, with particular attention to sea urchins. In this context I took part in two European projects aimed at small and medium enterprises.

Patrizio Scarpellini

Graduated in Civil Engineering (Hydraulics Sec), at the University of Pisa, since 2015 he is Director of the National Park of Cinque Terre. He has been Director of the Park of Monte Marcello Magra and he has been working in the reclamation and irrigation Consorzio del Lunense Canal and the Padule Reclamation Consortium. In 2012 he participates in the training course organized by Federparchi "Learn to Lead". Since the start of my career, I’ve been always working for the protection of natural ecosystems and promoting sustainability in vulnerable areas. Participant a several projects, with particular reference to environmental education to the Marine Protected Area, the protection of biodiversity and the agricultural sector considered element necessary for the maintenance of terraces and an environmental oversight of a delicate territory from hydrogeological point of view as that of the Cinque Terre

Luca Natale

Graduated in Law and Public Communications, expert and institutional relations for over fifteen years working at the National Park of Cinque Terre and is the head of the communication and marketing for the Park and social media manager. It has extensive experience in communication projects and since 2009 is registered with the journalists as a publicist. I've always had a great love for the territory: in 1996 I founded with a group of friends the cooperative Tramontur, one of the first experiences of tourism and sustainable development in the province of La Spezia and the Cinque Terre, based in the village of Biassa.
